UK rock band Fireheart have wasted no time in carving out a distinctive place in the modern rock scene. Formed through shared struggle, mutual respect, and an unwavering love for music, there is no pretence in their delivery. Their music carries the grit of lived experience, the catharsis of personal battles overcome, and the unifying force of rock and roll played with absolute conviction. Having put recent line-up changes behind them, Wild Hearts; Wild Nights, their third single, is both an emphatic statement of intent and an invitation to join them in the moment – loud, unfiltered, and full of purpose. “This isn’t just another single, it’s a milestone,” comments guitarist Kev Baker. “It marks the moment we stopped looking back and started running full throttle into what Fireheart is meant to be. The next chapter starts here.”
The first seconds of Wild Hearts; Wild Nights snap the listener immediately into focus with drums and guitar arriving in tandem, the beat crisp and decisive, the riff sharp enough to slice through the mix. Before we hit the thirty-second mark, the first Woah, Woah Oh chant lands – a clear marker of how well this song has been built for the live setting. It is a rousing opening that sounds like a band taking to the stage, igniting a crowd and inviting the audience to lean in, ready to be swept up in a performance that promises energy, passion and raw intensity from the very first note. The band’s chemistry is unmistakable; it sounds like four people completely locked into one purpose.
When the chorus hits, the track’s pulse kicks up another notch. It would be easy to dismiss the lyrics as throwaway but underneath the seemingly straightforward words lies the emotional core of the song. Can you / Can you feel the love now? / Can you feel it somehow? You’ll never forget now. An invitation and challenge to experience love in the sense of connection, shared moments and a call to shed the emotional loads we bear, it is delivered with infectious verve by vocalist Russ Grimmett who makes you believe every word. “This track is all about release,” says the singer. “We all carry heavy stuff every day, but sometimes you just need to switch off, crank the volume, and dance like nothing else matters. That’s what this song is, a tribute to those wild, perfect nights that keep us going.”

Throughout the song, bassist Bret Barnes and drummer Chris Hopton create a dynamic and driving rhythm section that propels the energy forward. Barnes’ bass lines are punchy and rhythmic, providing a solid groove that anchors the wild, free-flowing atmosphere of the track. Meanwhile, Hopton’s drumming combines steady beats with rapid fills, adding excitement and movement that perfectly complements the song’s themes of escape and celebration. Together, their tight interplay forms the backbone of the song. A little after the two-minute point, the guitars fall away for a few moments, the rhythmic duo continue and Barnes’s bass comes to the fore. On stage, it will, without doubt, be the classic moment when the crowd are encouraged to raise their hands high and clap along. Nothing in Wild Hearts; Wild Nights happens by chance.
Kev Baker’s guitar solo follows and is steeped in the traditions of melodic rock, delivering high-energy, precise playing that fuels the track’s momentum. His mix of longer, drawn-out notes and quick, sharp runs creates a dynamic contrast that cuts through the mix and keeps us hooked. The solo never lingers too long in one place and injects fresh intensity, amplifying the unstoppable vibe. With the chorus returning and a final request from Grimmett to Jump in, jump out / let me see you move, the song maintains its vibe until the last beat.
Wild Hearts; Wild Nights is a strong, no-frills anthemic rock song that delivers memorable hooks, tight playing and an undeniable groove. It captures your attention from the opening beat and holds it all the way through, encouraging listeners to jump in and enjoy the moment. As Kev Baker puts it, “Fireheart is more than just a band, it’s a movement. We want to bring people together through music, storytelling, and raw, unfiltered honesty. Rock has always been about emotion, and we’re here to reignite that fire.” This track proves they understand exactly who they are – and just as importantly – who they are not. They are not aiming for the most complex music ever made; instead, they deliver authentic rock that cuts through the noise with catchy melodies and a lasting impact – proving that sometimes simplicity, honesty and zeal is the key to powerful music.
Wild Hearts; Wild Nights is released on 14th August 2025
